Panattoni, Europe's leading logistics-industrial real estate developer, has just acquired an 80,000 sqm plot in the Torija industrial complex to develop its second project in the province of Guadalajara.

Panattoni plans to refurbish the existing building and build two new state-of-the-art industrial warehouses on the remaining undeveloped plot. El Corte Inglés will concentrate its logistics activity for the northeast of the Iberian peninsula and the Balearic Islands on their platform and facilities in Montornès del Vallès and the surrounding area.

The new centre is located in the San Andrés industrial estate (Alcantarilla) and has two warehouses with a surface area of 75,112 square metres, as well as a photovoltaic energy installation on both roofs. The investment in the new logistics centre, built by the Murcian company Urdecon, exceeds 35 million euros and will create more than one hundred jobs over the next five years.
