Panattoni Gala&Party 2019 – 8.5 million square metres in Europe!

Already for the 8th time, Panattoni held celebrations to mark the end of its most recent year in the European market – with 8.5 million square metres of space delivered to date and a further 1.9 million sqm under development. The developer also honoured business partners by presenting Panattoni Awards in more than ten categories. This year’s Panattoni Gala&Party took place on 19 September the Służewiec Horse Racetrack in Warsaw, transformed into a fairy-tale scenery referring to the movies of Tim Burton.

Panattoni Europe, the undisputed leader in industrial real estate, looks back on its activities in Europe. To date, the developer has delivered 8.5 million sqm of space, with a further 1.9 million sqm under development. As a result, for the third time running, Panattoni Europe finds itself at the top of the list of Europe’s biggest developers. This is due to the large-scale projects in all the markets where the company is present. The most notable projects in the British market include warehouse and manufacturing facilities in Ipswich, Derby and Nottingham. In Germany, distribution parks have been delivered in locations including Frankfurt, Stuttgart and Karlsruhe. The gigantic Panattoni Park Cheb, featuring close to 300,000 sqm, was built in the Czech Republic. In 2019, Panattoni Europe also started new investments in Slovakia, launching Panattoni Europe Kosice Airport with 36,000 sqm. When it comes to Poland, Panattoni can flaunt such projects in the past 12 months as distribution parks in Wrocław and Szczecin, custom-tailored BTS facilities for Amazon, K-Flex and Automotive, as well as the Central Logistics Hub intended to total close to 600,000 sqm.

The annual Panattoni gala does not only showcase the company’s own achievements, but also those of its collaborators and business partners, including: financial institutions, real estate agents and brokers, subcontractors and tenants. To recognise their contribution to the development of Panattoni and the industrial real estate sector as a whole, awards in more than 10 categories are presented during the gala. Among them, the award for the Best Business Partner in Poland went to BSH Sprzęt Gospodarstwa Domowego, in Germany to Faiveley Transport, and in Czechia to Via Pharma. mBank won this year’s Best Financial Institution title, and Norton Rose Fulbright was recognised as the Best Legal Firm. The statuette for the Best Industrial Real Estate Agency was picked up by the advisory firm Colliers International, while Dominik Łoś from CBRE was named the Best Industrial Real Estate Agent, in recognition of the number of transactions he finalised. The title of the Best Development Partner – for reliability, effectiveness and quality of cooperation – was given to Goldbeck.

Panattoni Gala&Party is a proprietary project of an annual event, distinguished for original conceptual work and pioneering solutions in terms of event management and technology. It takes six months and 100 people to put together. This year’s eighth edition of the Gala took place at the Służewiec Horse Racetrack in Warsaw. The official part was hosted by Anita Pietrykowska, Head of PR & Marketing at Panattoni Europe and Damian Urbańczyk. Afterwards Służewiec Racetrack was turned into the world of Tim Burton's films under the slogan Robert & the Warehouse Factory.
