Panattoni Europe has built a forklift factory in Kołbaskowo near Szczecin for Linde, part of the KION Group - a leading manufacturer of industrial trucks in Europe and the second in the world. The area of the facility is nearly 44,000 sq m. It is here that all forklifts are manufactured, including engine tests. The investment is carried out in accordance with the idea of adapting the facility to the Linde technology planned in it - vertical and horizontal transport, fencing of zones without the presence of employees, and many processes are automated, such as steel cutting, welding treatment, or full integration of the production line. The facility was built on an 18-hectare plot. Production of forklift trucks will start in early 2021, and by 2023 Linde will create more than 150 jobs here. The value of the entire investment exceeds EUR 60 million.
The factory is adjacent to the A6 motorway, 2 minutes from the German border. On the other hand, A-six connects the facility with the capital city of the region - Szczecin, which ensures access to qualified staff. The Linde factory in Kołbaskowo is located near the S3 expressway, which will ultimately connect the West Pomeranian Voivodeship with Poznań, Wrocław and the Czech Prague. The Linde company, by purchasing the facility at the German border, also ensured quick access to three airports - 40 minutes to Szczecin and from 1.5 to 2 hours to two Berlin airports - as well as the Szczecin-Świnoujście port - one of the largest in the Baltic Sea region.
