Panattoni develops a logistics building in Puerto de Santa Maria with 9,000 square meters of GLA

Panattoni, the leading project developer for industrial and logistics properties in Europe, announces that work has begun on its new turnkey logistics project in the Salinas industrial park in Puerto de Santa María, Cádiz. The company is building on a 41,500 square meters plot with 9,000 square meters of gross leasable area. The logistics building will include a 6,600 square meters warehouse, as well as a 2,300 square meters office complex. This first Panattoni project in Andalusia is scheduled for delivery in September 2021.

The strategic location of the complex in the industrial park of Las Salinas, in Puerto de Santa Maria, will be of great use to its future tenant because it functions as a center of gravity for distribution to the province of Cadiz. In addition, the industrial park has very good direct connections to Seville, Malaga and the Port of Algeciras.

Panattoni continues with its work to offer the highest quality in its projects, therefore, this logistics building is being developed with the latest innovations and 'cross docking' system. In addition, the e-Commerce boom has made it increasingly important to make the most of the space and offer the best service in the face of the high demand for last mile services in Andalusia. The building will have 9 docks, which will allow both trucks and delivery vans to carry out their loading and unloading tasks to speed up the delivery of products in the community, and a large parking lot to house the delivery vans, improving the processes. The logistics building will also be built to the highest sustainability standards, with BREEAM certification, in line with the company's values and its commitment to environmental care.

In the words of Gustavo Cardozo, Panattoni's Managing Director for Spain and Portugal, "we are very pleased to be able to announce our first development in Andalusia and demonstrate our firm commitment to expansion in different markets in Spain. The south of Spain is a key area for the development of the country's logistics and we continue with our aim to build state-of-the-art warehouses that allow us to respond to the increasingly recurrent last-mile model and growing decentralization of demand.”
