Panattoni Europe wins three trophies at the Manufacturing Excellence & Industrial Property Awards 2017

Panattoni Europe recognised as the leader of the build-to-suit (BTS) industrial space sector in Central and Eastern Europe in the 2017 edition of the CEE Manufacturing Excellence & Industrial Property Awards. The firm came out on top in three categories: Developer of the Year, BTS Project of the Year under 20,000 sqm and BTS Project of the Year over 50,000 sqm. The awards ceremony took place on 22 June 2017 at the InterContinental Hotel Warsaw.

In this year’s edition of the CEE Manufacturing Excellence & Industrial Property Awards, Panattoni Europe won three trophies. The firm was named as the Developer of the Year and picked up two awards for its BTS projects. The winning BTS Project of the Year under 20,000 sqm was the manufacturing and warehousing hall developed for a German company from the automotive sector, Ideal Automotive – a manufacturer of car parts and interior components for dozens of car brands, including Mercedes-Benz, BMW, Audi, Volvo, McLaren, Lamborghini, Bugatti and Porsche. The investment totalling 19,645 sqm was delivered in Zielona Góra within a special economic zone at the Lubuski Industrial and Technological Park. The title of BTS Project of the Year over 50,000 sqm went to the logistics centre developed for Amazon in Kołbaskowo, near Szczecin. The 161,500-square-metre facility will be one of the most modern order fulfilment centres dedicated to online retail.

A special distinction, that is the Developer of the Year title, was awarded by the jury to Panattoni Europe for its track record in 2016 as a whole. In this time, the developer initiated investments totalling 1,233,990 sqm in Poland, the Czech Republic and Germany, which means that the company embarked on the construction of another 25,000 sqm every week. Among Panattoni Europe’s pending projects are two distribution centres for Amazon totalling 296,500 sqm – the winner of this year’s Manufacturing Excellence & Industrial Property Award in Kołbaskowo and another 135,000-square-metre facility in Sosnowiec, as well as the logistics centre in Hückelhoven (Germany) with 120,000 sqm, and a distribution centre extension for Tchibo in the Czech Republic. In Poland, at the end of 2016 Panattoni Europe had delivered a record-breaking amount of industrial space – 775,000 sqm, with an additional 779,000 sqm under development.

Robert Dobrzycki, Chief Executive Officer Europe, Panattoni Europe, comments: “To win as many as three awards at the Manufacturing Excellence & Industrial Property Awards is a great honour and privilege for us. I wish to extend special thanks to our BTS team, who just keep on proving that we made one of our best strategic decisions by creating the unit in 2008. But we also owe our success to the dynamically growing markets, changes in logistics and industrial processes and the boom in e-commerce. All these factors point to very good development prospects for our business in the coming years.”

CEE Manufacturing Excellence & Industrial Property Awards are dedicated primarily to manufacturing projects, but also to build-to-suit (BTS) developments, and are organised by the EuropaProperty magazine. The winners were selected by a jury composed of independent professionals from the manufacturing sector as well as international industry experts, and the entire award procedure was overseen by EY – one of the world’s largest advisory organisations.
