Panattoni Gala&Party 2018: 7 million square metres in Europe

Panattoni Europe celebrated the end of its most recent year in the European market – 1.6 million sqm under development and 7 million sqm completed to date – while also honouring its business partners by handing out Panattoni Awards in 14 categories. All this happened at the Panattoni Gala&Party 2018 which took place on 27 September 2018 at the Tor Służewiec racetrack in Warsaw, transformed into one of the largest board games in the world!

Once a year Panattoni Europe celebrates the past 12 months of business, taking this opportunity to recognise the hard work of its business partners who contribute to the company’s success. It is partly because of them that the company maintains its top rank among Top Property Developers and currently has 1.6 million sqm of industrial space under construction in Europe. Panattoni Europe’s remarkable performance and 7 million sqm completed since the beginning of operations can also be credited to the entire team of 300 people from 6 countries – including the recently opened UK office. Launching operation in the British Isles has become one of the major milestones for the company in 2018 – nearly a year after the merger with First Industrial, the developer has more than 233,000 sqm under construction, having invested more than GBP 600m to date, with more than 325,000 sqm planned before the end of the year. The company is active on the Continent, too – in Germany by the end of 2019 Panattoni Europe is planning to acquire land totalling approx. 1 million sqm in the top logistics regions, and in the Czech Republic 500,000 sqm of modern industrial space was built in the first half of this year only. In turn, Poland over the past year has observed tremendous growth in the industrial property sector, and Panattoni had a hand in it – in 2017 the developer commissioned more than 1.3 million sqm of warehouse space. At present, the company has more than 1.2 million sqm under construction, leasing and increasingly adapting properties to the needs of e-commerce companies in every region of Poland.

The input of Panattoni Europe’s partners into the growth of not just the business but the entire industrial real estate sector was acknowledged by awarding symbolic statuettes in 14 categories, including: Best Financial Institution 2018, which went to Santander; Best Industrial Real Estate Agency 2018 presented to the advisory firm JLL, with JLL’s Paulina Dziubińska named as the Best Industrial Real Estate Agent 2018, in recognition of the number of completed deals. The statuette for the Best Business Partner 2018 was given to Amazon, for absolute trust and opportunities to take on the largest transactions, and Depenbrock won its sixth title as the Best Development Partner 2018 – for thoroughness, reliability and effectiveness of cooperation.

Panattoni Gala&Party is a proprietary project of an annual event taking place in an industrial setting, showcasing original conceptual work and pioneering solutions in terms of event management and technology. It takes six months and more than 100 people to put together, as well as 4 months of conceptual work. The setting of this year’s Gala was produced, among other things, using Video Mapping, which was used to present innovative projections, as well as the Notch technology, which helped create realistic graphics and modulate the image from the cameras in real time. The official part was hosted by Anna Kalczyńska and Damian Urbańczyk, and afterwards the Służewiec racetrack in Warsaw turned into a massive board game, where the guests could trade big money and get rich quick by investing in real estate.
