Panattoni creates a business cluster at Central European Logistics Hub – 30,000-square-metre Appliance Park for BSH

Panattoni Europe, market leader in industrial real estate in Europe, is developing a business cluster at the Central European Logistics Hub. On the site of the new project, the developer will deliver Panattoni Appliance Park, featuring 30,000 sqm. The entire complex is dedicated to the suppliers of components for the dishwasher factory of BSH Sprzęt Gospodarstwa Domowego. The completion of construction works at the park is planned for Q1 2020.

Panattoni Europe’s Central European Logistics Hub is not only the largest logistics complex in Europe with planned space of 600,000 sqm, but also a business cluster for the enterprises operating in the region. As an example see the 30,000-square-metre Panattoni Appliance Park which is coming up at the hub. It is dedicated exclusively to Europe’s largest dishwasher factory (58,500 sqm) – being built by the developer for BSH Sprzęt Gospodarstwa Domowego sp. z o.o. in the vicinity of the Central European Logistics Hub. Panattoni Appliance Park will house manufacturers and subcontractors providing components for the appliances made by the manufacturing plant. For this reason, the developer will build a direct road connection between the park and the dishwasher factory. The completion of construction works at the park is planned for Q1 2020.

Moreover, the developer has also built a logistics centre for BSH Sprzęt Gospodarstwa Domowego at the Central European Logistics Hub, with 79,000 sqm. The centre has its own internal railway platform and will collaborate with the factory on a daily basis. That is why roofed and walled passageways, each one 58 metres long, have been installed between the buildings, allowing for an uninterrupted flow of materials and facilitating the logistics of finished products from the factory to their destinations.

According to Marek Dobrzycki, Managing Director at Panattoni Europe, “Panattoni Europe’s logistics parks are more than top-quality facilities in excellent locations. They also provide a business environment for tenants to collaborate in. One prime example of such a business cluster – a geographically concentrated area where interrelated businesses can work together – is our Central European Logistics Hub and Panattoni Appliance Park created within its framework. The facility is being delivered for component suppliers for the dishwasher factory of BSH Sprzęt Gospodarstwa Domowego Sp. z o.o. Once it is completed, and with the BSH logistics centre nearby, the entire production and logistics process will be fully optimised, both economically and environmentally. We are proud to be able to implement such a solution at our Hub”.

Panattoni Central European Logistics Hub is under construction by the developer as Europe’s largest logistics complex planned to total 600,000 sqm. The site is located at ul. Jędrzejowska, right next to the A1 – the only Polish motorway running north-south. The hub is just 30 km away from the Łódź Północ junction, where the A1 and A2 motorways intersect. At present, the construction of the Central European Logistics Hub nears the halfway mark. To date, 250,000 sqm have been completed and a further 160,000 sqm are under development. Businesses which have already decided to take a chance on Panattoni Europe and the Hub for their growth, apart from BSH Sprzęt Gospodarstwa Domowego, include Media Expert with a 73,400-square-metre distribution centre dedicated to multiple sales channels and SMYK with a 70,000-square-metre distribution and online store service centre. The Hub drives the development of the New Industrial District of Łódź, with potential for 7,000 jobs.
