Medical mask production begins in Panattoni Park Mińsk Mazowiecki

Panattoni, the market leader in industrial real estate in Europe, has leased out 8,000 sqm of space to TW Plast sp. z o. o. in Panattoni Park Mińsk Mazowiecki. The tenant has begun production of medical masks within the complex. Eventually the center is to produce 30 mln masks a month - the equivalent of 1 mln masks a day – as part of a government program run by the Industrial Development Agency.

All hands on deck. The measures introduced as part of the declared state of epidemic have created a huge demand for masks and production has begun in many places across Poland. Panattoni Park Mińsk Mazowiecki is one such place, where TW Plast has leased 8,004 sqm. Production has already started as the developer was able to hand over the warehouse and production space immediately. In the building, 15 machines were placed allowing for the monthly production of 30 mln type II medical masks that have a BFE (Bacterial Filtration Efficiency) of at least 98% and do not hinder breathing. Production takes place in the center around the clock with 250 people to eventually be employed working on each shift. The production of medical masks was begun in Panattoni Park Mińsk Mazowiecki under a program being implemented across Poland by the Industrial Development Agency. It comprises three projects – establishing the factory, working with seven of the largest clothing producers in Poland and creating masks to order by companies such as TW Plast.

Sylwia Robakiewicz-Mokwińska Senior Leasing Manager from Panattoni has commented on how quickly the transaction was conducted and on the start of production: “Having a wide variety of space at our disposal, we are ready to start work with any branch – just as it was in this case. We were able to immediately hand over an appropriate building that met all of the strict requirements for producing medical equipment. With the full commitment of both parties we managed to close the negotiations for the lease contract within a week and less than two weeks later production of the medical masks began. We are very pleased that such important work has begun so quickly and it shows that it is worthwhile to begin a search for appropriate premises with Panattoni.”

Krzysztof Sawicki – the key client director z TW Plast – has also commented on his company's participation in the government program: “With the support of the president of Poland and the Ministry of Economic Development through the Industrial Development Agency, what is probably the largest production center for type II medical masks has been set up in less than two months and we have managed to ramp up the factory's production capacity to over 1 mln masks a day. The premises we have leased from Panattoni allow us to produce type II medical masks of the highest quality, which since they are a medical good, are subject to the strictest of production standards.”
